Green is the color . . love a world of green like this. I am puzzled, though, by the apparent high rise and fall of the water ?

@Ronnie 2¢: The rise n fall is perhaps cos of the angle of capture.. I guess I should atleast have rotated the image a bit.. Thanks for pointing it out :)

@chakrapani: This was shot at Gavi, a place near Thekkady, Kerala. Its mostly dense forest and is covered in mist.. At some places, the fog was so thick you couldnot see a thing beyond ten feet! :)

The photograph is in total justice to the title..The mist really gives the feel of some island from fairy tales! Where is this place? Wayanad?

@Mithun Varma: The place is Gavi, some 14 kms from Kumili which is near Thekkady. We had gone there for a team trip.. The climate was great and the place was so pristine!

( thanks for responding, Nishana. The horizon did not bother me at all but I was looking at the stepped banks at the shore which indicated the water perhaps rose and fell with tides ! )

@Ronnie 2¢: Aah.. I'm not sure about those.. I did wonder why the banks looked so neatly cut, but there was no one around who knew.. :)

Breathtaking! I love the green surrounded in mist. The red tone to the shoreline adds stunning color.
I imagine the shore to be rock rather than soil. In a brief search of Gavi I see this as a remarkable place to visit.
