CET Series: Empty Corridor

Posted by Nishana Minhaz (Calicut / Kochi, India) on 12 March 2008 in Architecture and Portfolio.

It was not a working day, so the corridor was devoid of the noise, devoid of the life.. Felt nostalgic. Actually I'd gone hopin college wudnt be too crowded that day, but it also felt a lil weird, the emptiness. College aint really college wthout the noise, I thot.. though it definitely made the walk more enjoyable. And as I took this pic, I remembered wat one of my frens had said wen we were in college. He took a picture of the corridor n sed.. "This is for keepsake. For a time wen ur memory and these pictures are all ull have of college..."

Mithun Varma from Bangalore, India

Something about this photo makes me feel sad..Dont know what it is..That empty corridor reminds me that those good old days at CET wont come again..Reminds me of everything i miss about CET..Great photo..Waiting for more in the CET series..As aptly said, "ur memory and these pictures are all ull have of college..."

Aana, Your photoblog is too good. This particular photo is just awesome. I like the way you played with light and the shades of the hall corridor looks so soft and pleasing

Great shot. Love the sepia toning. The emptiness radiates through the picture. I can imagine what you feel. Memories....they bring smiles, tears...and much more.

Your friend was right . . memories fade so fast and get replaced with recollections which never quite meet the mark.
